Visitors to West Kilbride Golf Club can enjoy the pleasure of playing a traditional west coast links with one of the most breathtaking vistas in the country. The Club was founded in 1893 and is set against the magnificent backdrop of the Isle of Arran and the Firth of Clyde. Every tee gives players a new sea view from the Kyles of Bute to the north, round to the Heads of Ayr to the south, so no matter how you play, it is difficult to leave the Course without a smile on your face.

West Kilbride offers 6523 yards of championship golf over a challenging 18 holes with a par of 71. We have extensive practice areas including two putting greens, a chipping green, practice bunkers, nets for driving and a long hitting area where our Professional, Iain Darroch, can provide friendly, top class tuition.

After a hard day on the Course, why not relax with your favourite tipple in our recently refurbished lounge before re-fuelling in our very popular restaurant. You will always find a smile and a warm welcome here and we hope your experience will leave you with memories to savour and a wish to return.

Visitors are welcome to play by prior arrangement with the Professional, Iain Darroch, (01294 823042) on weekdays and after 3.00pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

Visiting parties of over 8 players are welcomed on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (PM) and should contact the Office (01294 823911) regarding proposed dates and availability.

We look forward to welcoming you soon.

"Just a short to note to thank your team at West Kilbride GC for a great time last Saturday.  My friends and I travel up to Scotland from Jersey most years and try and play some of the Premier courses. Knowing WK from the time when I lived in Scotland, I always like to pay it a visit. During this trip, we also played Glasgow Gales and Turnberry and I can assure you that West Kilbride is easily up there with them! In the words of my colleagues (some who were visiting Scotland for the first time)… its a “a little gem” in excellent condition with fantastic views, greens and set up. Well done to your Green Keepers.  The welcome from Ian (your pro) & Jim Borland to the kitchen staff was as ever ….also first class!  Please pass on my thanks to your committee for a job well done.  Keep up the good work, hopefully see you again next year!!" Ian Mathieson, June 2019

"Please pass on our thanks to West Kilbride. What an amazing course and we were so lucky to have such good weather but even if that had not been the case the friendly welcome we got from Iain and the staff at the club made us feel totally at home. The course was in amazing condition. I don’t think that I have putted on greens that fast for a long while. I definitely couldn’t blame my 3 putts on anyone other than me because my ball didn’t bobble once they were so true.Thank you again and please pass on my thanks to your wonderful club for making the day so relaxed and enjoyable. I hope we will be able to return for another round soon." Lee Dolby, Young People Manager, England Golf, September 2019

"This is one of the real gems of Scottish links golf.  Fun & challenging, with some of the best views on a golf course in the entire UK!  Friendly members & great clubhouse.  The members are very privileged to have their lovely place to be a part of."    Stuart McLean, Editor of Golf Digest, South Africa, September 2017

"This is the best course we played on our Scotland golf trip.  The prevailing South West wind demonstrated the genius in course engineering and design, as wind aided par 5's were reachable, but into the wind par 4's were challenging bogeys.  The greens were consistent and fair.  The bunkers and rough were very playable and challenging and added beauty and fair penalty to poorly struck shots.  I would recommend visitors who want a true links golf experience should try this course."   Benjy Lampert, Springfield MO, USA, September 2017
